Hello and welcome to my portfolio! I'm Aiden, a game designer living in The Netherlands, and I'm currently studying Game Design at HKU in Utrecht.
First and foremost I am a game designer. I have experience making one page design documents, making level designs, design mechanics, and just about anything that can be considered game design.
My first love when it came to expressing myself creatively was graphic design. As soon as I found Adobe Photoshop on my mom's computer when I was 10 years old, I was making designs for imaginary album covers. As such, I have a lot of experience with Photoshop, as well as some with Adobe Illustrator.
3D modelling is one of my favorite ways to express creativity. As well as making 3D models for the sheer fun of it, I've also made game-ready 3D models for my own games. All of these were made in Blender.
I have experience designing materials from the ground up in Blender, as well as Adobe Substance Designer.
I've made tens of games in the Unity engine, exploring most of it's features, making scripts, animations, scenes, you name it.
I have experience making UI Design mockups using Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
I have experience programming mostly in C# for Unity, but I also have experience in Java.
As a Game Designer, I have a lot of experience making prototypes. I often make prototypes to aid in the design process, but also to pitch ideas to my team.
I have less experience in 2D art, but it's been something I've been getting into recently. It not just fun, I've also been able to make some textures and have been able to use my 2D skills to visualize my designs.
